Nicol and Mary attended and were greeted to a prosecco reception, a delicious 3 course meal and a fantastic evening of entertainment including Chica Bonita dancers, live music, a casino, a disco and a firework finale all hosted by BBC commentator Ian Stringer.

Hope Against Cancer also ran a raffle of high quality prizes, donated by supporters, along with a silent auction.

Hope Against Cancer is Leicestershire and Rutland’s local cancer research charity. They fund cutting-edge research in our area and strive for a future where more people survive cancer by funding innovative research that leads to improved treatments and better outcomes for local people.

They work in partnership with local universities and hospitals to make sure that Leicestershire is a hub of expertise in cancer research and treatment. Since they were set up in 2003, they have funded over 60 research projects tackling many different forms of cancer.
